Excel Bellevue Concrete Construction, bellevueconcreteconstruction.com, projects@bellevueconcreteconstruction.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of the Excel Bellevue Concrete Construction website and any estimate, proposal or concrete work you get from us. By using the site, asking for an estimate or hiring us, you agree to them.

If you sign a written proposal or contract with us for a specific job, that document controls wherever it differs from this page. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site or book work with us.

What we do

We're a concrete contractor in Bellevue, NE, and we build and repair driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, foundations, footings, retaining walls, pool decks and other flatwork, meaning the flat slabs you walk or drive on. You can see the full list of services from our home page and read more about the business on our About page.

What the site says about our services is general information. It isn't a promise about your particular job, because every lot, soil condition and existing slab is different until we've seen it.

Estimates and pricing

Our estimates are free and on-site, and asking for one doesn't obligate you to anything. An estimate is our price for the work as we understand it on the day we look, based on the size of the area, the thickness of the slab, the base work needed, the finish you choose and how hard the site is to reach.

Some things only show up once the old concrete is out or the ground is open, like soft or wet soil under the slab, buried debris, roots or old footings. If we find something that changes the work, we'll stop, show you and agree on the change and its cost with you before we go ahead.

An estimate stays valid for the period written on it. After that, material and labor costs may have moved, and we may need to update the price.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We schedule the pour for a date we agree on with you, but concrete depends on the weather. Rain, freezing temperatures and extreme heat can all weaken a slab, so we'll move a pour when conditions aren't right, and we don't consider that a breach of our agreement.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please tell us as early as you can by phone at (402) 206-0944 or through our contact page. If we've already ordered materials, scheduled equipment or done work on site, you're responsible for those costs, and any other cancellation terms in your signed contract also apply.

New concrete needs time to cure, which is the waiting period while it hardens and gains strength. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk and drive on, and damage from using it sooner isn't covered by our work guarantee.

Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit and when the balance is due, are written on your proposal or contract. Unless that document says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.

If a payment is late, we may pause further work until it's settled. You'll also be responsible for reasonable costs we have to spend collecting an unpaid balance, to the extent Nebraska law allows.

Your part of the job

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area, to tell us about anything you know is buried there, like sprinkler lines, septic parts or private lighting, and to confirm property lines if they're in question. We'll arrange for public utilities to be marked before we dig, but we aren't responsible for damage to private lines you didn't tell us about.

You're responsible for getting approval from any homeowners association, and for keeping people, pets and vehicles off the work area and the fresh concrete until we say it's ready. If a permit is needed, your proposal will say who is getting it.

Our guarantee and what concrete does on its own

We're licensed and fully insured, and we stand behind our work. If you're not satisfied with how a job was done, call us and we'll come look at it and make it right where the problem comes from our workmanship. Any written warranty in your contract sets out exactly what's covered and for how long.

Concrete shrinks as it cures and moves with the ground through freeze and thaw, so small hairline cracks are normal and aren't a defect. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack in a straight line, but they guide cracking rather than stop it.

Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from things outside our control. That includes ground settling under areas we didn't prepare, drainage changes made after we leave, de-icing salts, heavy vehicles or equipment the slab wasn't built for, tree roots, flooding, or slight differences in color and texture between new concrete and old or between batches.

Apart from the guarantee described here and any written warranty in your contract, we make no other warranties, express or implied, to the extent the law allows. Information on this website is provided as is, and we don't promise it's complete or free of errors.

Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of a driveway, lost income or the cost of other projects being delayed.

We aren't liable for any loss that comes from relying on general information on this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under Nebraska law.

If we disagree

Most problems get sorted out with a phone call, so if something isn't right, please talk to us first and give us a fair chance to look at it and fix it. Reach us at (402) 206-0944 or through our contact page, and we'll reply within one business day.

If we can't settle a disagreement between us, either side may take it to the state courts in Nebraska that have jurisdiction, and you and we agree to those courts hearing it.

Which state's law applies

These terms, and any work we do, are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to rules that would point to another state's law. That holds even when we work for you in one of the Iowa cities we serve, unless the law where the work is done requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. Changes don't affect a signed contract for work already agreed on, unless we both agree in writing.

If you have a question about anything here, please get in touch before you book, and we'll explain it plainly.
